Rec Site Work Bee
Five volunteers spent Saturday afternoon at the Rec Site, mowing trails and campsites. If you are able to help out for a few hours, all those who use the trails will benefit.

I finally went for a walk on the new Chalet trails. Thanks to all of you who have cleared and maintained them over the last few years.
On arriving at the upstream canoe pull out, we sat and watched with binoculars a Kingfisher doing his thing. After 10 or 15 minutes two eagles flew from the cottonwood trees above him, and after a few more minutes we heard the cry of a third eagle in the same trees. Then we saw the nest. The eaglet was out on a limb about 10 feet past the nest. It was amazing to watch him hopping around up there, coming back to the nest several times. He never did fly, but his time is coming soon
